HARLEY
The one and only drawing I've ever given away as a present. Harley was my friend's dog. One day this past summer, my dog Cleo and Harley (who were friends and played together often) got into a spat over some dropped food. Needless to say, 5 lb. Harley didn't stand a chance against 70 lb. Cleo, and Harley died instantly. Tragically, we were forced to make the difficult decision to put Cleo down, as we could no longer trust her around other dogs. So not only did I have the guilt of my dog killing Harley, but then the pain of losing Cleo as well. It was a very sad time, but wounds heal and life goes on. My friend Krista cried when she opened her Xmas present.
